You really can't make this stuff up.

Can't wait to see the dedication on the evening news someday...
Portland, OR to erect a monument
The way I read the article is that they are going to hold a memorial service, not erect a monument, in order to "memorialize these fallen lifeforms and talk about the plight of the bees and their importance to life on Earth,"
But, hey, bees are important!
Half of those attending this memorial would probably have a heart attack if they saw this:

Change the name of the city to Libtardopolis
Coming from a family that farms on both sides, I can say bees are extremely important to all of us. However, I would not hold a service to dead bees. Just cry a little and report it to the HuffPost.
What about killer bees?

Mother**** some bumblebees. I was pulling a bush out two weeks ago and a herd of those ****ers came out of the underbrush and lit me the **** up. I had tennis-ball sized lumps at the sting sites for over a week.
So that is what the buzz was all about.

I believe it's a service, not an erected memorial.
And I thought Boulder was the only first rate liberal cesspool.....guess there is a challenger...
If we had no bees (and that's where we are headed) lets see what you have to feed yourselves.
A memorial service? Better to figure out why the EM pollution and Glyphosphate in Roundup and what effect it has on them (and us).

I've always wanted to ask a PETA member if they would spray for bed bugs or if they would just live with them...
Or if they would kill a cougar attacking their child on a mountain trail...

I think mites are a more likely culprit.

Anyone ever seen the sketch comedy Portlandia (http://www.ifc.com/shows/portlandia)? It explains a lot! :D
As for the bee die off, my money is on Monsanto and GMOs.

Forgot about the GMO issue. No telling the effect it has on them. They sterilize us so...

It is very hard to take you seriously. I mean that in the most sincere way.

Do a little research on the subject.
Don't wait a decade when the media may begin to let the public know something. Also consider tumors and cancers.

So is it that you've simply never heard of Varroa mites and aren't aware that we've had similar bee problems dating back to the 19th century?

It's kinda scary if you actually read about it.
And yea it was some nature groups that held a service.
The news story was pretty big here cause at first it was just 10,000 plus bee's fall dead out of the sky into a huge parking lot.
(turns out a company was spraying pesticide on the trees) :nono:
I have to wonder how much and how strong was it? Dayum.
Libtardopolis?? Don't judge a city/metro area of over 2.3 million people by what a group does. :p

City officials said the tree had been sprayed with Safari earlier in the year, but they haven't ruled Safari as the cause of the deaths.
Typical libtard reaction.......

According to The Ontario Post, one local Elmwood beekeeper lost 600 hives, a total of 37 million bees following nearby corn planting. He and others believe the culprit may be a class of insecticides, neonicotinoids,
