BCM Carrier markings

I recently received a new BCM BCG. The carrier was stamped with a series of numbers and letters like a serial number. Has BCM started marking the carriers in order to cut down on counterfeiting?

I have a BCM BCG that was purchased within the last 10 months. Other the the laser etched BCM it has no markings on the bolt carrier.

The newer ones I bought have their cage. My older one does not.

I've got a couple with the lasered logo as well. The newest one was stamped on the opposite side.

I'm curious if they started marking them so they could tell the difference between a genuine BCM bcg and the counterfeits that were floating around earlier this year?

As far as i know all their carriers have a CAGE code.
Got some a while back for FN bolts I got on EE here and they all did.
(FN bolts for $55.00......:alcoholic:...glad I got 2....)

It's Bravo Company's CAGE code. Not all carriers have them, some do and some don't.

Mine purchased in May from Ranier has the code on it.

I got mine with the cage code a year ago. The current ones without are possibly be older ones that only recently sold.

I purchased my upper from BCM in November 2012. It did not have a cage code, just the BCM logo and HP MP.

The BCG I bought from BCM July 2012 didn't have the CAGE but the one I got in Oct did.
