This is a limited run of the BCM RECCE 14 MOD 0 in FDE. The upper and lower receivers have been Cerakoted in flat dark earth. As an added upgrade, the gun also comes with the Centurion Arms 12.0 Free Float rail!

Nice Grant....and with a Mod 1 Comp to boot. Have become quite fond of that comp.

Fortunately for me, the rail and furniture aren't FDE, or my wallet would be in danger of another beating.

Agreed. When I painted my rifle I left the barrel, irons, surefire, optic and mounts alone and like the contrast.

That's a very nice package deal for anyone looking to buy a ready out of the box duty rifle / fighting rifle. You also have to love the BCM logo on the side of the rail.

That's a smokin' deal considering I recently bought a 16" middy Mod0 from Grant for $1155. This adds Centurion rail, BCM Comp and Cerakote for just $240. Definitely has more of a custom feel, too.

I would guess wear would be the biggest issue for the rail. several sharp surfaces and constant placing and removing of accessories.

Correct. It is the MOD 1 (1.5" in length).

Grant, you would hate my rifles. :D At least the BCM comps on mine are left black.
I also braced myself for the ass kicking on my wallet for this rifle, but I am all about "too much" of a color on mine, also I need to move soon so..

I doubt BCM has the time to refinish these receivers themselves.
I wonder who it is in SE WI that did it.
I didn't think we had any Cerakote certified guys in state.

Forgive my LSHD question, but isn't the purpose of painting a rifle to break up the all black outline? If so wouldn't an all FDE color be just as undesirable?
I would think short of a custom disruptive camouflage paint job, mixing as many subdued colors would be a good choice. I would guess adding rail covers, pistol grip and stock in contrasting colors to this set-up would achieve this.

I had to order this, as well. Pretty good deal considering what all of this would be if you ordered the lower and upper separately. Not to mention the cerakote.

You can, but I will tell you that the factory stock really isn't worth much.

Roger that. That's all that's missing from this gun is a high end stock. I guess that helps keep the cost down but a B5 SOPMOD or Magpul CTR/STR would have set it off. Either way, it's a sweet rifle.

Just a guess here, those older rollmarks are usually reserved for blem lowers.
Send them out for refinishing and you have a product people will pay a premium for.
Paul is a smart business man.
If you do the math though, it's really not a "premium".
Purchasing a Blem lower (configured the same) and the BCM upper, as configured on their site, with BCG and CH it comes out to $1500 or so.
In full disclosure, I did order one.

Incorrect. Old and new roll marks have blems (just went through a batch of blems with the NEW roll mark).
BCM still has hundreds of the older style roll marks.

I ordered one before I saw this thread. It is a very good deal. Looks like it will not last long. I was in the market for a new AR after I sold mine to my b-in-law for his duty carbine. It was between this and a DD M4V3. I liked the flexibility of the longer rail system and iron sight options. The color scheme didn't matter so long as it wasn't some absurd Call of Duty look alike. The rail will get FDE ladder rail covers. Still trying to decide to which iron sights to use. Since the optic will be an RMR, Troys will probably get the nod. Anyone receive their RECCE yet?
I received UPS tracking info today, due to arrive on the 11th. I ordered on the 4th (a very nice way to celebrate Independence Day, I might add). If you count Friday the 5th as a business day, I'm at 3 business days since ordered. Well within the 3-5 business day period for FFL items per the G&R website!

Looks like G&R is all over this. I ordered on Sunday night and today received UPS notification of arrival on the 16th. Damn weekends. Glad I pre-ordered the rail covers and DD front sight. I am going to keep an open mind on the BCM grip but have a preference for the Ergo grips. I am going to keep it light and fast with a minimum of attachments. I figure an RMR, DD front sight, Matech rear, X300 and then a stubby vertical should be a good configuration. This thing is going to get some workouts.

I received my BCM REECE today. Ugly as hell, I like it alot. Very flexible platform with all the rail space and two tone configuration to break up the profile. I ordered FDE rail covers but the shipment was screwed up. I ordered a Daniel Defense front sight and it turns out it is probably a fake. Amazon vendors suck and from here forward I am sticking to books with those dudes. In other words, the only one who didn't f**k up this evolution was G&R.

Got mine a few days ago and I was finally able to shoot it a bit. Yesterday and today I put about 400 rounds down range. 5 different types of ammo with no failures at all, and I must say pretty accurate as well.
As far as Brakes are concerned, this is the first time I have shot anything other than a standard birdcage. Wow, what a difference!
In my book this gun is a keeper for sure. Now I just need optics and a light...

They won't. From what I understand they had a set amount done from ones that had light areas on the receivers. They are already finished, when they are sold, they are sold. This is why they are available from the two dealers, and when they are gone, they are gone. They aren't going to be put up on the BCM website.
How long they last is anyones guess.

I really want to pick one of these rifles up, but the pinned comp is what's holding me back. I have shot the comp and its a great device but I would want to mount my suppressor on this beast.. what are the chances of changing it with out damaging the barrel??
A COMPETENT gunsmith can do this. If you don't want to save the muzzle device it's not that big of a deal.

What kind of rail protectors are those? Looked everywhere on G&Rs site and couldn't find any.
Just placed my order for one of these bad boys with a Multicam B5 stock and QD end plate. Can't wait!

FFL finally released it today! Awesome! G&R really hooked it up. Waiting for my red dot to come in and I'll take it out next weekend to get it zeroed.
