If you do not have an SR15, you should take a serious look into getting one.

If I was spending over 2k on just a rifle it would probably be a KAC sr-15.

If not just the rifle then...

Colt 6920, Aimpoint micro, light, and sling. More mags, more ammo, more training.

This thread may get a little interesting... I'm not a fan of your choices, except the Colt. I have several very high dollar rifles so I understand wanting to have something nice, but don't buy something just because it is expensive.

I have this habit of getting $1500 rifles and by the time I have them set up with optic, light, trigger, my preferred furniture, sling attachments...etc. They become $3000 rifles, (or more).

You already have a Noveske according to your sig line, so if you are just dying to spend 2-3 grand on a rifle, I would recommend a Knights SR-15 E3 mod 1 , or a Larue rifle.

SR-15 E3 Mod 1 is the choice in your price range.

May I suggest another alternative? Daniel Defense is getting new rifles out pretty quick and they will custom build it any way you like.

If you're looking for a rifle with a pretty paint job to be your safe queen, go for it.

The best answers to your initial inquiry have already been given.

KAC SR-15 e3 mod 1 or the Colt 6920 with all the extras.

There's a reason these are the "brands" mentioned here. Most are either industry professionals or active or retired LEO/Servicemen. They know a thing or two about guns. You're doing yourself a great disservice if you have the coin but go another route.

and FYI, it's Vltor not Veltor

happy monday and good luck with your choice.

I might ask myself...
Why would I want or need a Christensen?
What do they offer that I consider a must have?

If you have a need or desire for what they offer, than what does it matter what other people think?
More than likely they will stand behind their product if you have issues.

To me it is just a high priced showpeice/safequeen.

How about an LMT? I think they make great rifles. I just ordered one for my duty weapon. There is a 4 to 5 month wait with LE priority. I think there worth the wait.

All of this has been covered in hundreds of threads over time. Use the ORANGE search button and do some reading.
