I noticed a little uneven-ness in the anodizing on the upper receiver the other day located on the right side of the upper receiver on the opposite side of where the charging handle latch would lock in to. It looks like the anodizing was scratched or as if the receiver itself is fractured. It is a Brass Aluminum Forging upper, and the "scratch" is nearly invisible. The "scratch" can be better seen when I apply a drop of oil on the area. Anyone have this? Is it a flaw in the finish or a crack in the receiver?

Since we cant see it its really hard to tell, how about posting a picture? Look on the inside of the receiver and if you see a crack directly across from the one on the outside you may have an issue.

Post a pic of the alleged issue or it's getting shut down. We aren't going to play guessing games with your AR.

Because I am currently out of town, I cannot post a picture immediately. And the last time I tried, the scratch did not even show up in the pictures.

As for the other side (interior) of the receiver I saw no cracks then and I don't think that changed...

Actually, I found a picture on my iPhone. It's not too clear I am sorry, but here's the best shot I have at hand. It's right in front of the charging handle, a little white line going about 1/4 inch...

And no, I'm not talking about the blatant white line that is supposed to be there. I'm talking about the thing infront of the latch point.
