My Glock 22 project is now complete and back from its initial range session. The pistol is a 3 month old Gen4 Glock 22. I had only fired 50 rounds through it before the extensive slide modifications, which are listed below:
Vickers Slide Stop
Vickers Magazine Release
Glock factory minus connector
KKM compensated barrel
Unity Tactical ATOM mount installed by Mark Housel
Front cocking serrations
Sniper Gray Ceracote.
I shot 200 rounds through the pistol today in a combination of optic zeroing and drills. When I assembled the pistol on Thursday I adjusted the red dot to match the top of the irons. I was pleasantly surprised that at 25ft my 5 round group was only 1" low and 1" left. All 5 shots were in a neat hole. I then pushed the target to 50ft and again fired 5 rounds. The group was perfect in elevation and 1" left. All rounds piled onto each other. Lastly I pushed to 75ft and again fired 5 more rounds. The group was 2" high and 1" left. The rounds were in roughly a 3" spread. Not bad for 165gr CCI blazer.

After these three groups I made my adjustment on the T1 to bring the group left and a little lower at 25m. This pistol with a perfect 75ft zero will shoot 1.5-2" low at 25ft, which highlights the ballistics of the cartridge. I settled for 1" high at 75ft as it was the best zero overall.
As for the shooting qualities of this setup, they are superb. The guns tracks quickly in recoil, with minimal flip. I am able to track the dot in recoil and see my hits on paper in real time. Shooting pistols with RDS will highlight any trigger abuse. The setup will keep you very honest with your trigger pull.
Finding and tracking the dot upon holster presentation is quite easy. The tall front sight catches your eye, and the rear of the sight centers your eye. I find it much faster and easier to pick up than some of the other RDS on the market.
Shooting quickly is a snap. Shooting on the move is too easy. I find it very similar to shooting my carbine with a T1. I look forward to shooting this setup further, and perhaps taking a pistol class or two with it. I think the future will have many, many more people running RDS on pistols.
