I bought one of the Lyman Case Prep Xpress multi station brass prep
machines from one of the big reloader companies last winter.
Did not have much of a chance to use it till I got ready to load up a
bunch of rifle rounds to practice for Highpower season.
It does not take much downward pressure on any of the 5 stations to
make the machine just jump track and skip and jam for awhile.
Removing the brass shavings collection receptacle allows you to view
inside machine while running with a high intensity surefire flashlight,
revealing that there is a central plastic drive gear, surrounded by 5
plastic prep stations that slip out of engagement with the slightest
pressure.
The entire housing is plastic and allows too much flex of the stations
relative to the drive gear.
I have contacted Lyman with no response.
Save yourself some money and stay with the twisty, turney way of prepping brass because this thing is a $100 piece of junk.

I don't know what Lymans thinking about anymore. They used to be the best out there, but anymore... I won't even buy their bullet molds anymore. Now they seem to be on a "copy LEE" kick. They really need some original thinkers there, but it must not be in the budget.

I have the RCBS version. It's pretty solid and have had no problems so far.

I have one and bought it from Midway when on sale last year. I have run several hundred rounds of .223 with it using each station and have not had any problems yet. It has significantly reduced my prep time.

Try contacting the place you bought it from.

I picked one up over the winter, and I've used the hell out of it. No issues at all, it used to be whisper quiet now it's just slightly louder. Keep bugging Lyman about it, something may be wrong with yours.
