Been seeing this little item in the magazines. Anyone know if it works on a KAC Mod1 trigger guard, in conjunction with a Magpul grip, or do they only work with BCM grips or what? Any pics of this item installed, or further info would be greatly appreciated guys.

I assume your talking about the small insert that comes with the gunfighter grips.. I don't think you would need them with the KAC or magpul trigger guards, as I believe both of those eliminate the small gap.

I can vouch for not needing it with the magpul tripper guard, I tried it just to see if it did anything noticeable, and it does nothing except make the trigger guard "fatter" for the length of the insert. The flush insert for the gunfighter grip with the magpul trigger guard works perfect.

They won't work with a Magpul grip. Specifically designed for the BCM grip and snap into place. I always used the flat piece myself though since the extended piece pushed my middle finger down further on the grip.

The KAC doesnt quite eliminate the gap.

Here is a Magpul that I found online for comparison:

I agree, I have a KAC trigger guard and the gap is there. I run a Tango Down grip which has the duck bill gap extension, so I would assume you will have no issues with the BCM insert.

I just run a cut down ergo gapper ($2) with my KAC trigger guards.

The past versions of the KAC trigger guard had a gap, newer versions are as pictured above.

Yep. I run a super tactical gapper on my older KAC lower and my newest one doesn't need one.

Even the newer ones don't fill in the gap enough, I can still rub my middle finger raw if shooting without gloves. Magpul trigger guard usually does the trick, but not always.

The shelf piece for the BCM MOD1 would not go all the way up into position with the Magpul enhanced trigger guard for me.
It would be nice if it did.

After rubbing my finger raw, I use the ergo grip grip gapper. It doesn't just fill the gap, but extends over the trigger guard just a tiny bit. Prevents you from digging into the corner.

What's a super tactical rapper? The Ergo gapper, or something else?
