Been looking to build a SPR style rifle that can also double for Race/3 Gun events and also slay Bambi's kin.

Specs are the following...
Daniel Defense 18 inch S2W barrel chambered in 5.56 with a 1/7 twist rate
Troy Industries Bravo 13 inch rail
Magpul MBUS sights
Burris PEPR mount with Simmons 3.8x12.8x44mm Scope
Burris Fastfire on 45 degree mount
Condor Tactical Sling
Magpul CTR
Surefire Z2
A2 pistol grip because I'm old school

About 7.5lbs to 8lbs.

Check your scale. I guarantee you it weighs more than that. ;)

My shorter 14.5" rifle with variable, Scout light, NSR & Redimag with no vert grip weighs 9 pounds.

If you're actually going to 3-gun, that gargantuan scope is gonna have to go. You'd probably be better off with just the red dot. Also, what kind of FOV do you get with the scope and laser crowding out the offset red dot?
