Hi M4C,

I was a 1911 dude. Used them when I was in. I was reading about police turn in Glocks, probably here, and I impulse bought one from Summit about three years ago,(Good Guy) . It turns out that this is "THE PISTOL" for me. The only pistols I've owned that are even close in fitting my hand-Pointing-handling-and all round love that I got from this one, is a baby eagle in .40 and a .30 Luger. I took it out and it was like a fricken laser beam to me. It's now my primary, and I want to keep it the way it is.

I noticed this awhile ago, and for some reason it didn't register. Soooo, that was a mistake. I don't know if it was delivered this way, or if it was something I did. I searched here and didn't find anything on it. I googled it, and it seems that this is a known issue, peening. It's a sample of one, but its seems pretty deep, and there is a burr on one side. The pistol shoots fine. I guess I'd like the gurus here to tell me to stop being a whiner, or fix it a certain way.

The mods to the pistol are,
1. Glock extended slide release
2. Vickers extended mag release
3. Butt plug
4. Grip tape

No offense to LAV or Glock, but those two mods were worthless to me. I still have to adjust my hand to use them, and I figure I'm not high speed enough to take advantage of them. I guess if they were long enough for no hand movement, the mag would drop out in the holster.

Any advice is appreciated.

The peening on the inside of your slide is normal in G22s, and others to a lesser extent. If it starts to burr, knock it off with a file. If you search for "G22 slide peening" there are some discussions on it.
