If the feds didn't bail out the auto companies Detroit would have already dried up and blown away. There is no tax base as the property value is not much to speak of since the homes are ramshackle at best.

How many GOP members sat in Detroit's City Council since the 50s? Can't be more than a handful at most. Are there ANY serving there right now?

They can point fingers all they want but the Democrats and the UAW killed Detroit....nothing else. The city is like 70% black, too.

If we get Hillary and a Democrat majority in Congress and the Supreme Court later on....all of America will look like Detroit.

Detroit just got there first but even cities like Salt Lake City, Tulsa and Houston could mimic Detroit with a decade or two of leftist rule.

I'd like to see a comparison between republican controlled cities vs Detroit, Cleveland, Youngstown, Pittsburgh (Unniversity of Pittsburgh Medical Center kind of saved the city) etc.
