Anyone know where to find A1 buttstocks with the butt plates installed?

Cavalry Arms...I think.
They call 'em C1

Yeah. But then I have to go buy a new butt plate/trap door assembly, and the correct butt plate screw with the hole in it.

I've heard the A2 buttplates will fit on the C1, and I've read that they WON'T Fit. So I'm reluctant to go that route yet.

BTW, found the Cav Arms link for their C1 stock.

I put the A2 plate on my C1, it fit's fine. I do wish someone would make a new A1 length, one more robust then the C1 and not SOLID like the Sully.

Sarco Inc and http://www.uscoreplicas.net/. I just got an A1 furniture set from the later. Nice stuff at a good price.

Is that stuff new?

That US Collectors Ordnance site looks like a good one. Another option is Fulton Armory. They could just be a Cavalry Arms stock. I don't think it is as if you look at their Legacy rifle it looks like just like the original A1 stocks. There isn't a picture on their parts page so I would call to make sure. If not I would go with the one Mike suggested. Seems like a good one.

Thanks. I might try one out, and get the correct stock screw from brownells.

I'm going to contact my only friend at MAGPUL to see if they might ever be interested in doing one of these.

I picked up two (2) A1 stocks, complete with furniture, from Specialized Armament Warehouse back in '06.

I'm sure they have them, but the price will be absurd.

I got mine from RRA and it was in pretty good shape. The stock itself had normal wear but was functionally perfect. The butt plate had the correct length screw but was purple. All in all I thought it was well worth $16 (I think that's what I paid).

I'll check that out too. But I'm still going to nag Magpul a bit. :p

That would be sweet, modenized with recessed swivel wells, storage area.

I fired off a communication, but I bet Magpul is already overtasked with what they have on their plate.

Maybe they'll hire us on to consult on the project.

I know you couldn't go wrong with an A1 style stock modernized and built as strong as the other Magpul products.

No, It's not new but the furniture is described as "excellent" condition and I agree.

Cheaper Than Dirt has them in their current catalog.

The RRA stock sounds like the best value since I'm not too concerned with cosmetics.
