I've been through 6 different configurations of AR in the last couple years and while I'm still relatively new to the platform, I'm beginning to realize what I like and think maybe I've got it.

Ingredients:

14.5 FN socom profile barrel w/ BCM Gunfighter Mod1
Found I don't care for the LW barrels. Liking the Gunfighter comp thus far.

Fortis Rev12
Really like this rail, was pleasantly surprised at how rigid they are and I don't need a lot of real estate. I enjoyed running MOE handguards previously, but I'm 6'5 and have a long reach. Being able to get my hand out towards the end of the barrel is a huge plus. Sight radius is also a plus.

BCM BCG
No comment necessary

Aero Precision Upper and Lower Recievers
Not my first choice, but what I had available. I've read some issues with fitment and am fortunate to say that I've had none. The upper and lower fit together nicely.

Daniel Defense LPK
Really glad I bought a few of these to keep as extras a few years ago.

Troy Industries Folding BUIS
My first set of these, doubt I'll ever use another BUIS after this. Went with the HK style front and I love it.

BCM Rifle Buffer and Stock
Again I have really long arms. I've discovered with collapsible stocks I'm almost always running them fully extended. This just feels great to me. Cycles extremely smooth as well with all ammo I've put through it.

Will probably change the grip in favor of something with a little more girth and add a weapon light. Aside from that, this gun is quickly becoming my favorite.

Now that's a nice set up.

I like that SOCOM barrel too.

Thanks, I think it's time to get a trust set up and build an SBR. Would love to have a can or two as well.

Very nice rifle. Lot's of good decisions there, I think. I am curious if you happen to have any more pics of it from the side profile? How is the balance? I'm 6'2 with long arms too, and this setup is intriguing. Thanks.

It's a soft shooter. Balance is very neutral.

Looks like a very well-balanced firearm. Congratulations on your new baby!

I can't get over how smooth this thing is running. Never had such an uninterrupted sight picture when firing. May slap an A5 on in place of the rifle buffer to see how it reacts.

I'm digging the fixed stock.
