A week ago after shooting i came home to clean the weapon. During cleaning I found a 1.5cmx1/2cm splotch of orange-red in the barrel where the bolt-lugs rotate (the space between the feed ramps and chamber). It came off after scraping it with a punch. It came off in flakes/pieces without too much effort. I figured it was a bit of primer sealant from the Prvi I was shooting that got caught between the walls and the bolt-lugs that got smeared in. The only sign it left was a dark spot where it was.
Well, a week later, I am cleaning the weapon and notice that the dark spot is still there, 100 rounds later and after another chamber brushing. I tried gently scraping at the spot but it remained. Could the primer sealant have stained/darkened the metal, or is this indicative of rust and I was mistaken? There is no pitting or anything, just a dark discoloration.
