Looking at the various 1-4 optics. Can't afford the Leupolds, NightForce, S&B Shortdot but also don't want something cheap that will fall apart or lack in quality. The Burris XTR 1-4X24 Illuminated looks just about right. Anyone have first hand info or reviews on this optic. Was wondering if it is true 1X, if it is rugged, if the illumination is bright enough for daylight, how does it compare to the Millett DMS-1. Any info would be appreciated.

I'm still considering the DMS-1. I like the Burris reticle and they seem to have a quality product. I'm gonna send my questions to Burris and see what they say. As far as mounts, I'm going to go with a LaRue. Not exactly sure which model yet.

What does the illuminated area look like; is it a dot, or a donut, or what?
Is there any chance you could take a picture of the sight picture through the scope?

I'm very interested in both the Burris, which just came out, and the Bushnell.

Ooh! The idea of that is sweet! The 3200 and 4200 Elite series are great scopes, especially for the money.

The dot and horseshoe portion of the reticule are illuminated. Crosshairs and stadia/holdover dots aren't.

Yes, I've seen the XTR reticle.
I was wondering about the Bushnell reticle.
Thanks.
