Completed this finally, Built on a NDS Lower & M16A1 Kit from CenterFire Systems.

Blasted Dura - Coated Colt Grey
Blasted Parkerized all small parts
Factory Colt Barrel
Very Nice Rifle.

Nice!!! In an age of rails, flat tops, flip up sights etc., I still love the classic M16.

That thing is sweet!

In fact, your build prompted me to spend an hour or two browsing around the Vintage forum. Now I want to build an A1 clone.
