Sorry for the newby question but I just don't know the answer.

Since I purchased my LMT 308 MWS 20" CL, I have been buying the following ammo. (A box or two here and there because its so damn expensive) (except the CBC which seems almost reasonable for 49.99 for 50.

Barnes VorTX 168G Copper Match
Federal 165G Copper Match
Black Hills 175G Match
Hornady 168G Match
CBC 168G Win Sniper

Our local shop got some cans of 640 rounds from GGG I think they are 149G.

Is there a rule of thumb on what to shoot? Heaver vs. Lighter?

Thanks,

Rule of thumb is shoot what your rifle likes best. Use good ballistic coefficients for longer ranges. BC isn't critical at shorter ranges
