I received the 8x42 a couple months ago (with my awesome 5-20x50 SS) and am very happy with them. Big improvement over the somewhat respectable Burris Landmark binos I had been using for a few years. I don't have the $$ to throw around on these since I opted to put more into rifle optics so this is the only chance to get $300+ class binos in my price range. The $130 8x are perfect for my field observation (shots out to 500m) and offer a bit more eye relief, fov, and exit pupil than the 10x (obviously).
Anyway, just thought someone might need additional temptation to spend money.
