After my last thread regarding the DD upper and how the port hole was in the .080's. I now turn my attention to the BCM upper with the DD mk18 rail. I know someone here has got to have use these before. How do they do suppressed and unsuppressed? I'm finally building a SBR as a "gift" to my self for how well I've handle having diabetes.
I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section.
BCM is generally good to go. Even the best companies can turn out a lemon here and there; just like the worst companies can "Gump" together a working rifle. That said my 11.5" BCM eats everything it's fed without complaint.

You are right, but it seem like DD did this for a while of making the port hole to big
I'll bet if you do some research and reading you will find numerous people running BCM uppers (especially SBR's) and they run 100%. My 11.5" has at least 13K through it over the years suppressed and unsuppressed. If it didn't work I would venture that you would have heard about it by now.
I built an upper with a BCM BFH 11.5" earlier this year, primarily to run suppressed (OPS M4M/M4S). So far I have had no problems with any ammo I have put through it (193, 855, Hornady steel case training, PMC).
It ran reliably with H, H2, and H3 buffers, though I have kept the H3 as it really seems to take the most "bounce" out of the recoil.

This thread is making me anxious for my form 1 to clear. Only I am going with a 12.5 KINO BCM.
My BCM 11.5 is a lead machine. Buy with confidence.

I've had one for a few years now. I have put more than 2,500-rounds through it to include some full-auto shooting without a single issue regardless of the ammo used.
You can't go wrong with BCM uppers.
