Way to much for what it does. What does it do that this doesn't for $130 including the fore end?

Slimmer, more robust, and may fit into existing shotgun racks...

To original poster I have no experience with this product. My experiences with L3 customer service has been excellent.

I was asking if anyone had specific experience with a specific piece of gear.
Not that your observation is wrong, but if I wanted that sort of input I would have asked "what light do you use on your shotgun and why" as the thread title.

I had the L3 light on a Mossberg 590 I no longer own. It's easy to use, while I no longer own it or the shotgun it's attached to, I definitely think it's a good lighting solution for a shotgun.vvIt has an off switch to prevent a light ND, momentary on, constant on and strobe. The light itself is more than adequately bright and broad for shotgun relevant ranges.

how was the switching ? Could you have it set to just strobe, seprate button, or did you have to tap twice or something like that?

The first Gen lights had a on off lever switch on the side. tapping got you momentary, double tap was strobe and if I recall press and hold would get you to constant on.

New models have a rotory switch towards the rear next to the battery cover. Off, Low Power, and High. These were in response to our requests. Low power is for breaching (or nav), high power when used as a primary. The pressure switch controls momentary, and constant. I don't have one on hand, but I believe you also accessed the strobe through the preasure switch. by double tapping.
