View Full Version : RMR Project: G21 or G19?

I have a new RMR RM02 that I'd like to install on one of my Glock pistols.

I have a G21 that I already shoot pretty well and use it for most of my training. Recently I bought a Gen4 G19 and it is great!

I am having a tough time deciding which pistol would be better for this project.

Im leaning towards my G21 as its arguably my favorite pistol, and I think i'd be less happy with an RMR on a carry pistol, but open to opinions :cool:

I have rmrs on both G17s and a G21. Hard to go wrong with either. The rmr is the same width as the G21 slide if you want to call it an advantage. I like them both.

The rmr is the same width as the G21 slide

See if you can find a used slide that's been cut for an RMR. Then you can test the concept without cutting up one of your proven guns.

This or buy a used slide to have cut. I have done that with a couple of mine.

Funny thing is I had a complete used upper that I bought for this reason and sold it thinking I was gonna scrap the project. :rolleyes:

Looks like I'll have to find a slide again lol

That is very tempting... I think at this point, I might just buy another spare G21 slide and go that route...

I'm gonna say..........BOTH...........

I have my G19 and G21 Gen 4 done.....make sure you get suppressor sights installed, so you have BUIS.

Work was done by Mark Housel at L&M Precision. Great work, and a 6 day turnaround time, from VA, to AZ, back to VA. :D

Suppressor sights are in the plan for the project.

I really cant imagine cramming a RMR'd G19 down my pants for daily carry. Plus the additional cost of RMRing a second pistol is not feasable at this time.

I'm not a fan of Gabe Suarez, but he sells a nice appendix holster for RMR'ed G19s on his companys website.
