I know of someone selling some Gen 1 PMAGS at a decent price.

Are there any known problems with this generation? Looking for opinions good or bad.

Thanks.

If the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate. Most of my PMAGs are probably still Gen 1, and none have ever given me any trouble. If you want to get super-scientific about this, I would probably stick with black, as some of the more colorful formulations were supposedly a bit weaker structurally (I've forgotten the details -- maybe FDE), but its not like we have 100 threads archived about PMAGS failures, either. As a rule they work. Old, new. Whatever.

I would only take the black ones. The price would also need to be below $10 before I would get any of them.

That is not the best deal, but is fair.

There are some in the EE for $9.00, free shipping if you buy 10 or more.

On a slightly different note, I know of at least one retailer and I am sure there are more who are selling gen 2 Pmags at about $11 a mag and Gen 3 at about $12. Have to buy ten to get the price, but even adding for shipping I feel that they may be a better deal, being new, later generation, and all.

Just a thought.

My gen 1 PMAGS have worked. I was never worried about them failing either.

How heavily used are the Pmags? If they're new or close to it, do it.
