I've read the promo material on the Gen M3 P-Mags which says that the M3's are made from an improved polymer with a new manufacturing process.

Are the M3's supposed to be structurally stronger than the Gen 2's made from the same polymer?

Yes. The manufacturing process, design, and some details thereof that are not retroactively compatible with the M2 molds make the GEN M3 structurally stronger than the GEN M2. The M2 mags made with the new material are slightly stronger than the old rev M, but not as strong as the GEN M3.

The difference in strength varies by axis and mechanism of the destructive force, but on average, the strength increases are significant.
