Tried some of the 64gr Nosler bonded over the weekend and wasn't to impressed with accuracy so I'm gonna try Barnes 70gr TSX and Swift 75gr. Do es anybody have any starting data for the Swift using Varget, BLC-2, or IMR 4895?

I get great accuracy with the 62 gr TSX and H335 or BLC2. In the 75 gr range of BTHP Varget does better for me.

I heard the Scirocco could not be seated deep enough for the AR mag length. Can you confirm you COL when you get a batch worked up?

Will do, I emailed Swift last night to see what they have to say. I think it was Layne Simpson who had precision reloading work up mag length load for him, not sure what velocity was, but I'll post up after I hear back from Swift.

This is load data I got from Shift about a year or so ago.

varget 21.5
H4895 21.5
BL-C(2) 23.0
IMR 4895 21.0

The best resilts I got was from 23.0 of Varget, I friend worked it up on Load Data for me. I never could get the kind of accuracy I was hoping for. Wound up a little over an inch but I didn't work with it a lot. I gave the rest of the bullets to a guy and he reported the same thing. I know a guy who uses them in a 22-243 and he says they are a fantastic bullet on hogs and deer and has great accuracy.

Talked with Brad at swift this afternoon and they can be loaded, they just set deep in the case. The loads he worked up were with Rem. brass, CCI 400 primers and COL of 2.255. Loads he gave are max
Varget 22.3gr
IMR4895 23.0gr
He said the best load he found was with H414, but being I don't have any we didn't talk about charge weights with it.

What load are you using for the Nosler 64 BSB? That is the most accurate bullet I have found for my rifle. It even beats out Nosler 77 OTM's and 77 SMK's.

I tried Varget, BLC-2, and IMR4895. Best group was near max char ge of Varget, don't have the exact load handy. The groups weren't horrible by any means(1.5-3) I got 500 pack off auction so I'm not done with them yet, stil trying to get used to the SWFA 1-4, up till now, the lowest setting on an any scope I had was 4 so it's a little different. How much if any crimp did you use? I was using a LEE FCD and I put a heavy crimp and am wondering how much effect that might have?

24.7 grains of Varget with CCI 450's gives me 5 shot groups in the .5 to .6 of an inch neighborhood at 100 yards. Im using a WOA 16 inch stainless barrel, Geissele SD E, and Leupold MK4 1.5x5.

I'll have to look tonight., but I think the highest I went was 24.0gr of Varget. I'll be loading some more tonight along with the Swift and Barnes for the weekend and see how it goes.

Loaded the 70gr tsx no problems went to load the 75gr Swift and could not adjust the seating die deep enough to achieve 2.255. Ended up putting a piece of .010 shim in the shellholder to prop the case up. I tried my rcbs and lee shellholders, both are a loose fit. Can anyone recommend a shellplate that fits tighter, or should I look at the rcbs extended shellplate?
