View Full Version : Noveske NSR rail lenght

I literally just placed an order for a NSR-15 handguard to go on my Colt 6920 with 16" bbl. I'm starting to have reservations about the length and wondering if I should have gone for the 13.5 inch? I really like the way the rail comes right up to the end of the barrel, but wondering if it might be too long??

I suppose it's not too late to call and change the order. What does M4C think? Anyone have any pics of the NSR-15 with a 16" bbl?

What would make it "too long" the way it looks? You should still be able to easily change your flash hider, so I'm not sure what your asking.

Sorry for confusion..

What I mean is that I like the way it looks with the rail coming to the end of the barrel; but, not sure if a 15" handguard on a 16" bbl is typically advisable.

Depends on use. If not running lights or lasers there is no significant penalty other than $ to running the 15.

I dig the look! Looking for a 16" Recon barreled MUR upper w/ 15" NSR myself. The weight differance of 15" vs 13.5" is mostly negligible, so no penalty there. Nice to have tons of rail space too if it doesn't come at a weight price.
