Sordin Modification

Does anyone here have any experience with modifying sordins with the Lemo 6 pin connector?

I am somewhat interested in hooking up to the single pin jack on my LE radio's handmic. Would it be possible to cut the 6 pin off and splice in a single pin?

I've tried looking around for some info on this but haven't had much luck...found some info on a Nexus pin, but I'm looking at a Motorola or kenwood.

Last time I looked into it, these were the options available. Either modify the down lead or the get a new PTT

1) TCI will make the correct down lead for you
2) TEAs will make the correct PTT for you
