Need help from the general collective here.
I have a RDS for my rifle.
I want a magnified optic for my rifle, on a limited budget, and have decided that the 2-8 magnification will be plenty for the shots I plan to take around here.
I own two Nikon rimfire scopes that sit on my .22lr rifles. I have no complaints about them but also have nothing to compare them to.
I have looked at my LGS, where I plan to make my purchase, and seem to have narrowed it down to the Nikon Monarch 3 2-8x32 and the Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35.
I can get the Vortex for about $110 less than the Nikon.
I will use a scope for only a couple hundred rounds, per year, at most, between a bench and hunting use. The RDS will see the majority of my rounds each year and I'm currently satisfied with what I have.
I would appreciate your input as I don't have enough time behind a magnified scope to know what I should use in my decision making process.
Thanks,
Seth
