I currently have an X300U on a Mossie FSB mount on a BCM 14.5 upper with a Battlecomp 1.5 permed on. After running it all day in a class for about 400 rounds, I noticed that the bezel is nicely caked in burnt crud from the comp, and the light is basically unusable with the layer of grime over the lens.
I decided I needed to go with another lighting solution, but I can't get the X300 to come off the mount. I swapped the universal latch for the 1913 latch before I installed, but it's like the mount is too wide in the trough on the light. I can lift the locking latch, but no amount of grunting and pushing/pulling, or trying to lever it forward with a screwdriver braced against the FSB is helping.
Anybody else run into this problem, and have any secrets?
