Hey,

I have a Model 70 All Weather that is a really nice gun. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of iron sights. Does anyone know a place where I could get this done?

Surely a visit to Brownells, or Midway would give you some options that a half way decent gun smith could install for you.

What are you looking for? A bead front sight, a square post, hooded, etc? Rear sight on a sight rib? Receiver sight?

I was thinking as simple as possible. Exposed blade front and rear sight drift adjustable. Basically pistol sights.

Well from what I can find about your only option these days for iron sights that are actually going to be useful, and made of actual steel, and be adjustable worth a crap will be the stuff from NECG. A bit pricey, but they will install them for you, or you can have your local gunsmith do the work.

Brockman's Custom Rifles can also probably do some work too since he likes to work on Model 70's, but most likely the expense of just having him install iron sights would be a bit prohibitive.

Unfortunately there just aren't a lot of good options these days in the world of useful iron sights on hunting rifles.
