Tavor Short Picatinny Optic Rail

I was wanting to remove the full length rail that came with the Tavor and replace it with a short length rail like pictured below. Anyone have any ideas where to find a short length picatinny rail for the Tavor like below?

I'm also interested in getting short rail. I want to replicate the look of the IDF model and was wondering whether its possible to take the front sight off the rail and place it on the cocking handle shroud.

I have not yet purchased a Tavor yet but hopefully this week I will. I was thinking of doing the same but not sure. A guy on Bullpup form said he was going to look into making some short rails without the sights.

Also, I wonder if a LaRue Tactical LT150 mount would fit on the front mount base of the barrel?

You'll want some other parts from the IDF model, too, if you want iron sights with that rail.
