I was considering putting a Rock River Arms 9mm upper on my DPMS. I think it said that a modified Uzi magazine will work. do any of you gun gurus know what they mean by modified clips. and can they be modified by the average Joe for reasonable cost. thanks for your comments in advance.

Rock River sells the modified Uzi mags. You don't have to modifiy standard ones if you do not want to.

Noone's commented on "clips" yet? :D

Modified UZI mags are just UZI mags with a notch cut to accept the AR15's mag catch. Be careful though- if you do like I did and mark and cut when the mag is all the way up and into the adapter you will get nothing but 9 months of headaches. I finally raised the cut to lower the mag in my setup and it actually cycles 30 out of 32 rounds now. All I have left is to smooth off the top front corner of the single stage trigger and polish it. That should fix the problem.

M60Joe http://www.m60joe.com/ modifies UZI mags and can add a bolt hold open tab as well. He also ramps 9mm bolts. He has a really good reputation.
