I'm left handed rifle and right hand pistol. Thus I can't put mags together ( pistol on top of rifle).

I'm running high speed gear that I got on sale this past week from skd. Here are a few picture of how I go it laid out so far. Another thing i plan to get g code rti molle adapter to run on hsg belt. I'm thinking it will interfere with the rifle mag when I go to draw. I wear my pistol at. 3 o clock position. I run 2 single pistol and rifle and then double rifle mag. I'm a 32/33 waist using medium sure grip belt Thoughts? Thanks for the help/ advice everyone.

I also shoot the same way and have your measurments. My HSGI belt is set up with four pistol tacos on the left side. Right side I have an ALS holster attached to a safariland molle attachment with QLS at the 3 o'clock. I have a double rifle taco behind the holster with a 1 column gap in between. The rifle mags do not get in the way. I put a single rifle taco in front of the holster just to see if it would work and that also did not interfere with my draw. The forward rifle mag might jab you in the stomach if you crouch or lean forward.

TYR makes a cool mag pouch that sits sideways. You could put it at your 6 and move the dump pouch to the pistol mag side a little.

I just want to add that you can also put two rifle/pistol tacos on your keft side. You should be able to reach accross your body and get those mags no problem. I did a 3 day class like that with two rifle mags on my handgun side and i had no problems.

where are you going to run your pistol

being cross dominant means you'll be putting your pistol on the same side as your rifle mags and that means space limitations and a lot of weight on one side. I'm in the same boat but opposite (lefty pistol, righty rifle). unfortunately for us weirdos, it pretty much ensures that we have to use a chest rig of some type to carry more than one or two rifle mags

first thing I would do is ditch the double rifle mags and move the singles back to mount your pistol.

on my pistol side I start with handheld light, multitool, pistol, skip a column, then two rifle Fastmags. the Fastmags don't like to be mounted right next to each other but with body curve in that location they ride alright.

opposite side starts with 3 pistol mags, skip a column and then HSGI BOK with Marz Tactical TQ pouch mounted on the forward side. dump pouch rides middle of the back.

Priority of gear is first pistol access, closely followed by pistol reload.
Therefore, the pistol goes at 3:00 (your stated preference) with clearance for drawing and holstering actions; pistol magazines go from approximately 9:00 to 11:00, depending on your preferences/transition technique.

Rifle mags can be placed behind the pistol, at ~4:30.

I'd limit rifle mag quantity to 1-3 on the belt, no more than a speed reload and a double, but that's me.

Heres a update so far. Not sure if I like the dump pouch and I may try a double mag holder behind the pistol but move it one MOLLE column back.

that's not bad but the front rifle mag is going to suck when you take a knee. I'd move the pistol forward and put both mags, single stack, behind it...

also, what size is that SGPB? it looks a little big for you...

Are you able to clear the pistol with the front rifle mag in that location? Seems like it's a "alley" you will have to navigate to get to the handgun. Maybe pics are doing it justice.

Per F2S's recommendation, I'd put both rifle tacos behind the pistol.

Nice belt rig btw. :)

It's a large belt I had a med but had a 5 inch gap at the front. I wear my pants with a belt and then out this on. I have a half of an inch overlap at the most.

yeah, that's tough about the sizing. HSGI actually built/recommends it to fit like the medium fits you but most people I know want some pals around front.

I consider a battle belt to be primarily a pistol belt with a rifle reload, or two, depending on the day. any further support for rifle, I add a chest rig of some sort. my primary goal for arranging things on the belt is balance - long days with a loaded pistol and two rifle mags on one side leave me aching at night...

Why the dump bag at your side? That is some prime real estate right there. Like others have stated - no reason to carry more than 3 mags at a time...any more than that would suggest having a plate carrier or weak hand drop carrier. Even for all day carbine classes - I only carry 3 mags - 1 in the gun and 2 on my side.

...BTW...when I read "I need advice on a switch hitter war belt"....I think you are asking for help for a gay belt. Is that wrong? Will I get banned for saying that?

Thanks guys for the the input! Ill move the rifle mag back behind the pistol but drawing is fine. I put the dump ouch on left side to try and balance things out. Really wanting mayflower apc and maybe Haley's front chest rig or something like it so ill have rifle on chest and gear/ pistol on belt. Problem can't find my size small/m1 apc carrier.
