Are these 1000 round boxes good to go? I have been hearing quality could be iffy lately.

Or should I buy up some X-tac or AE XM855 instead?

Can you post a link to what you're looking at? Generally, I think Lake City M855 is good ammo. X-tac is good too. I haven't seen or heard anything about about iffy quality.

Its definitely the cheapest I have found at the moment for shipped prices.

Of course they did. Demand probably went up by more than 25%, why wouldn't the price follow suit?

That said, I have some of the ammo and can say that the quality has been fine.

The only problem with it is that its too expensive.

M193 or some kind of .223 is always cheaper, and has always done fine for me.
