Anyone still use plastic barrels for training?

I found some pretty cheap on Craiglist but I started searching around the net and different forums are saying not to use them. We are talking about plastic food grade barrels not metal. Going to use them and stack them together (2 high).

Another thing do you guys (if you use them) put water/dirt/sand in them? How do you secure them together?

I just use chemical barrels (55gal drums) for barricades.

I occasionally use pallets and have used chairs before.

I cant possibly imagine the reasoning against using barrels.

Its a simulated barricade/barrier. Its all about training and understanding what your doing.
