So after many years of faithful service, my old Jeep may be getting toward the end of it's useful service life.

I really need seating for 6 and fairly good cargo capacity. It seems like most of the outdoor sports I like to do involve the family+ and a fair amount of gear (guns, coolers, chairs, tents, fishing rods, snowboards, ect). I also like the ability to just lay across a front bench seat. Not to mention being able to have my best girl just slide up next to me.

Decent off road capability is also important to me. If Jeep only made the Wrangler Unlimited in a 6 passenger. At the moment I am leaning toward the RAM 1500 Outdoorsman. Does anyone know how these actually perform off road? I am going to try to hold out until the diesel comes out because milage is also a consideration. This will be a daily driver and I have a fairly bad commute.

I have also considered the Toyota Tundra but I know quite a bit less about these. I am not fixated on any one vehicle so I am open to suggestions.

Older ford excursion with a 7.3 diesel. Still gets decent mileage, plenty of power to do whatever, big enough for the 6 of you plus your gear, and they're pretty reliable.
