I'm thinking about setting an M&P15 and Colt 6920 with the Vltor A5 System. I did a search but didn't see specifically what I was looking for.

All I should need is the A5 RE, spring, and buffer, right? Will the factory castle nuts and end plates already on the carbines be good to go with the A5 RE?

Thanks.

Correct. A5 RE, rifle length buffer spring, A5 buffer of your choice. You can use your existing castle nut and end plate.

Factory castle nut and end plate should suffice. Rogtac also has these parts available separately.

I have a carbine that I built using the Vltor A5 and Colt 6920 barrel. I recommend you get the A5 tube, a green Springco spring and the A5H3 buffer. I have probably 1K rounds through this set up and it runs 100%.

The M&P will be able to use the A5H3 as well based on the last time I tested one back in May.

You may want to get a new endplate so you can stake it correctly.

I have been running that setup on my 6920 with an LMT enhanced bolt carrier for about 3k rounds with no issues.
