I've been using this bow for a while, and I have really fallen for how fun it is to shoot. I hadn't shot instinctively for decades, but this bow allowed me to pick right back up where I left off as a kid.

This bow was design from the start as a survival bow. Machined from 6061 aluminum, the riser fully protects the limbs when folded like the scales on a pocket knife, and the limbs deploy just as easily as can be.

As a longbow, it does stack more than people who shoot recurves might be used to, but I found myself quickly adapting my draw to it.

I put the bow through a few torture tests to prove that it will be there when you need it, and I have a lot of fun shooting it, too. Like I say in the video, now that I have this bow, it is much more about recreation than survival.

Great review! I'm curious to see how different arrow types react with the bow. Any input?

I just used the arrows that Primal Gear sells because they work so well. The main thing is that you must fletch with feathers, not vanes, because the arrow rest is rigid. Feathers collapse passing over the arrow shelf, whereas vanes deflect the arrow off path.

If you have the correct arrow spine and arrow tip weight for the weight of the bow, the archer's paradox will take care of the clearance at the right time.

Stu Miller wrote an excellent Excel spreadsheet to figure out the right arrow spine and tip weight combination for your type and weight of bow.

It works like a charm.

@ $149 it's pretty reasonably priced too. It's on my want list.

Thanks for the review. I guess I missed it when you first put it up. I will have to pick one of these up.
