Has anyone tried the regular tipped(blue) tripleshock in the 300 Blackout?

Here is a variety of standard 30cal bullets through the 300BO from Brass Fetcher. There is a 110gr TSX which i believe is the normal one and neither the Blacktip or the SBR version.

Brassfetcher only tested the Barnes 110 grain 30811 Tac TX Blacktip.

I have used the Barnes 30871 Blue tip as well as the 30834 SBR. 20 grains of H110/CCI 450 gives me 2500 FPS with the blue tips and about 2.5 moa. It has a minimum expansion velocity of 2000 FPS which limits it to 175-200 yards.

That same load gives me 2400 FPS with the lower BC 30834 SBR. It expands down to 1500 FPS so it should expand to 250-275 yards at that velocity. My group sizes and point of impact varied greatly so I won't be purchasing any more of these.

Feeding with both bullets was flawless.

Note the dates on these two documents:
http://www.barnesbullets.com/blog/2012/02/09/new-300-aac-blackout-barnes-products/
http://www.brassfetcher.com/300AAC%20BLK/300AACBlackout06OCT2010.pdf

Now note that date that Robert Silvers says that the ammo is being "tuned" and the date that he presents "preliminary data".
It takes place a full year after the Brassfetcher tests. I find it hard to believe that the project lead for 300 Blackout has been kept out of the loop for a whole year and that Brassfetcher somehow got a finished product well over a year before Barnes and the project lead had data on it, considering that Barnes is the actual inventor. On the next page, he states that the first batch is being loaded Dec of 2011.

Also note that expanded diameters with the 30811 projectile are 0.1-0.15" larger than the Brassfetcher testing shows. In Brassfetcher's photo's, the actual gel-blocks of the TSX rounds are dated: "20AUG2010".

The 30811 projectile is MUCH MORE effective than what Barnes tested in the second poster's link.
