Not much info thus far. Supposedly one maybe multiple Capital police officers injured. Discrepancy as to whether or not the shooting happened inside or outside of the capital.

Not only did one cop car follow her around the round about, a second did the exact same thing. As soon as I saw the second guy start to make the turn I thought of the exact Blues Brothers scene.

Have to wonder with the Affordable Care Act being implemented, how many people who are currently able to either afford individual health insurance plans that are going to no longer be available, or simply don't want/need health insurance, are going to break mentally from the stress and straein of being placed in a financially and medically untenable position by that legislation that will fine them and even put a lien on their home if they own one and cannot pay their fines. You wife has to come off your plan, $180 a month for a healthy student, you can't even get onto the exchanges, you either don't get hired or your hours are cut to less than 30 and you have to buy insurance or pay a fine - yea this is full of win.
Frankly we don't know how it will all shake out in the end. We passed it and we still don't know what's really in it. The Honeymoon is ending , and people already don't like it.

I think the Capitol Police have this whole "high speed pursuit" thing figured out. Next time the cops are chasing somebody, anybody, anywhere, they should just get a car or helicopter in front of the speeding vehicle and shoot the driver.

When this first started the drive time DJ here said he saw the police cruiser and it was torn to pieces so he had no problem with them shooting her...... but.... later I watched the video and as they showed it.... the news guy says the LEO ran his car into a barrier by accident... so basically he injured himself.
I think the latter is the truth although I can see how someone could have gotten injured by her car when she pulled out... before they were all able to get behind those barrier posts.

I know we were having radio problems for a while a few years back. We had dead spots all over the town had issues with transmissions etc. That is pretty much worked out thankfully.

If I was a betting man giving 1000-1 odds, those officers are furloughed (meaning NO pay). The question for Lt. Schneider: is there such a thing as leave during a shutdown? About what? She was not some connected Beltway insider. She was a dental hygienist who didn't even live near DC.
Maybe a politician has bad teeth and she said so and they took it personally? People have been killed for less.

WASHINGTON — First they called her a terrorist threat.
When she turned out to be an unarmed suburban mother, they said she was on drugs.
Now, WND has exclusively learned, without a trace of doubt, that was wrong, too.
WND can also now report Miriam Carey was shot in the back of the head by U.S. Capitol Police officers and uniformed Secret Service agents six months ago, on Oct. 3, 2013.
The official police investigation still has not been released. But Carey family attorney Eric Sanders obtained the toxicology and autopsy report on this macabre anniversary.
The report showed there were no drugs in Carey’s system, prescription or otherwise, when she was shot dead.

Bullshit! She was armed with a 2 ton vehicle and nearly ran over a few officers in the video. Furthermore, it looked like she was attempting to crash through the barrier to get into the Capitol. Post-9/11, that is good reason to start shooting. Car bomb, dirty bomb, biological agent, crazy woman who wants Obama's kid and exchange hers...who the hell knows. But her actions in the current times in the capitol were completely justified. Even on the streets of middle America, you attempt to run down an officer while fleeing (and not stopping with an armada of cops behind with lights on) good chance you are going to get shot.
Chalk this up that she had problems that kept from from thinking rationally and stopping for police.
Sounds to me like a crazy lady who tried driving through some gates in DC and was shot by DC police. Whether or not the shooting was good or not I don't know. But I'm not seeing some big conspiracy here.

Why not, NYT, DCPost, LAT any better? WND interviewed the attorney (ref link previously posted) and he (attorney) stated he received the toxicology and autopsy report. Yes the local papers reported she was on drugs and now per the attorney the toxicology report states otherwise.
Do I think a conspiracy took place, of course not.
I love the inference that she simply made a wrong turn and was attempting to make a U-Turn and peaceably be on her way. Why not simply stop when asked to? One of those incredibly simple things where when law enforcement says "STOP," you stop and make sure your hands are in clear view making zero sudden movements. If there is a "misunderstanding" you might just be able to work things out, or you might explain things at the station. Point is, you stop. I don't care if she was on drugs or not. She was ordered to stop and instead of comply she drove to one of the most protected buildings on the planet. I've taken a wrong turn down a one way in the dark, noticed all the cars parked the "wrong way" and one of them was a LEO. Ordered to stop my vehicle and the lights came on. I got a talking to, most of it him probably making sure I wasn't drunk or high, and he had me follow him to the freeway I was trying to find. Helpful guy.

Yea, I'm sure that the Capitol Police and Secret Service take their marching orders from some Congresscritter to assassinate a woman over someone's poor dentition.
I have an alternative theory: she was killed because the involved officers actually perceived a threat to their (or another citizen's) lives. Now, we can debate whether that perception was justified or not.

Pretty much mirrors my experiences as well.
Regardless of why she did what she did - and we will likely never know... She was shot because of her actions that day. It's that simple.
