I'm in the oil fields in ND and the idea of a strike out here is laughable at best.

There isn't a "community" of truckers like there used to be.

It's funny that the picture in the article isn't even a picture of U.S. trucks. I don't see any of the truckers up here doing anything. I certainly won't be.

Not going to happen, especially for any driver working for a large company. They will fire them and then find someone with a pulse to take their place. If they are a independent company, which are few and far between that means they don't make any money and the person who they haul for might just say screw them and find someone else to drive or haul.

With the price of diesel being so high, I don't know how any truck driver can make his truck payments, let alone drive to Washington, DC (with a load of sailboat fuel).:confused:

I've also heard RUMORS that the President was going to use the National Guard to block the truckers, AND that there would be MP's on the monuments this weekend to block the WWII vets. Either would be a serious escalation.....

I don't see that happening, but if it did yes that would a serious escalation of events.

Police say a convoy of about 30 trucks began traveling north on Interstate 95 from Doswell, Va., on Friday morning. The truckers are circling the Beltway.
