View Full Version : Which AAC flash hider is this?

I bought this "used" from a friend although I don't think it's been shot out of. I bought it for my 14.5" BCM to eventually run an AAC or Silencerco Saker (with their 51t adapter).

The problem is, the ID of the FH is way smaller than the OD of the barrel and the threads are recessed in quite a bit.

There is a date stamped 10 18 97 on one flat spot and then AAC on the other. You can see that in the pictures and also see what I mean about the threads.

It's for rifles with 9/16-24 LH barrel threads if I'm not mistaken.

How many teeths do it have? Looks much finer than a 51 tooth, maybe 90? That might be a clue.

It does indeed look like a 90t adapter. I didn't think any made it into the wild though.

I'm going to guess you emailed a pic & number info to AAC?

They've historically been very helpful with their products & responses, in my experience.

I think the difference is that they fit different suppressors.
