"None of the missing weapons have been recovered, authorities said."

Wow. I searched and could not find that this has been posted. Interesting article. As always, the comments at the end are the best.

Best comment I read: "Don't worry..it's just part of a government program to track the path of stolen guns...they have been probably tagged with crayon..."

I saw the earlier today. I am curious if Holder was nearby? But, on a more serious note I can't believe that there isn't better tracking or accountability for something like this.

I have a sneaky suspicion this was probably and inside job.

Poor guy with the stolen TV. "See officers, no stolen guns here!" "Where'd you get that TV?" "Aww crap...."

Now we know what a 6920 costs the dealer.

Well sh!t.

Guess we also know that the AR's don't have electronic tracking yet.

I feel bad for the people that end up buying some of them in FTF transactions.

Not really. Even way back in 2004 my dealer price wasn't that low.

They probably just did a search for AR15s found the cost of a RR or DPMS and used that.

Remember, if they make it seem that you can buy these rifles for less than the cost of a decent laptop, that makes John Q Public that much more afraid of them!
