Vortex 3X Magnifier & Aimpoint H-1

I've got an Aimpoint H-1 on my Colt LE6920, with a Vortex 3X magnifier.....

When I move the magnifier into place, I see a double image: two red dots....the problem dot is at the 2 o'clock position in relation to the "real" dot.

One is more solid than the other, and I'm able to use that one for sighting purposes.....but it's still very distracting.

Any suggestions?

You shouldn't be seeing two dots, maybe your magnifier is defective?

Also some 3x mags have the ability to center the dot in the magnifier (doesn't change where it is aiming or POI, just centers the image in the optic), maybe that might get rid of this second dot you're seeing?
