Anyone know who makes this? I wonder if it is an actual Colt
product. This is on the M4A1( no caliber designation) lower.

Well, who ever it was, they sure didn't spend much time looking for a screw with a low profile head.

Are you looking for an ambi safety for your rifle or just trying to figure out who made the particular one pictured?

If you want an ambi safety then check out Battle Arms Development (BAD). They have a presence on this forum (Duffy). Some of the best products and customer service in the business. They make THE ambi safety that all others are measured by.

If you're just trying to figure out who made the one in the picture then I can't help you.

The pictured safety is the one that comes factory installed on the LE6920 SOCOM. It appears to be made by Specialized Armament.

On my SOCOM there is a serial number engraved into the right-side lever. Left side lever has a letter S cast into it.

Specialized's website shows two ambi selectors, one discontinued, with no photo, and one that is visually identical to the LESOCOM part with the exception of the use of a button head screw rather than the one used on the LESOCOM ambi. One might guess that the discontinued part is the one on the Colt rifle.

Specialized Armament used to carry the Colt model with a Colt "SP" part number. Now they just carry their own part with the "SA" part number. The Colt part was listed at around $65.
