T3 Streamlight On Carbine

Would you mount one of these lights on a carbine using a rail mount? If not why?

I put one on my carbine for a while. Had it mounted on a pic rail on the bottom of the gas block. It worked although I didn't run it very hard. I like the minimalist approach. The only thing about the T3 that I didn't care for was that it doeant take the standard C123 batteries.
