Its been awhile since Ive posted. Lurking/reading mainly.

After bouncing around for a year in a management training program I am "temporarily/permanently" located in the Akron area.

I primarily shoot at KC's Rifle and Pistol kind of off 21 at the Acadia exit. Anyone frequent this place?

I normally shoot their 300yd with my 700. If I am doing range estimation correctly I believe it is closer to 250yd.

Last week I was at a night shoot in Garretsville towards Youngstown.

Looking for classes/courses to learn.

Howdy! We bring in some of the best instructors via www.aliastraining.com to a private gun club (http://www.tuscorifle.org). This year we had Mr. Hackathorn and Mr. Defoor in for Pistol. Next year, will be some other instructors that Alias uses.

We also teach basic pistol and AR at the Tusco range and will be doing some classes at a new indoor range as well (to include armorer classes).

I have been down to KC's once. I was less than impressed with the range, and Dan was less than welcoming. Last I checked he had something like a 2 year "waiting list" for a membership.

I occassionally shoot at Midwest Gun Club, mainly in the winter. It's a decent indoor range, with a decent selection of gear.

My home club is Greenport Tactical in East Canton. Membership is inexpensive, and everyone is welcoming. We shoot a variety of different things, and host a different match every month. There are 4 ranges, including a dedicated rifle range. http://gta.diablops.com/
The range is closing for the winter, but will open back up in April/May.

If you are really into long range then Alliance Rifle Club is the place. They shoot F-class matches almost weekly at 600 and 1000yards. I've been down and watched a match this year, and hoping to get out and try my hand at the 600yd F-class next year.

Send me a PM if you want to meet up and shoot sometime.
