Gents:

I haven't managed to change out the MOE handguards and stock front sight post on my two rifles, and would appreciate advice on the best way to mount a Streamlight TLR-1. So far I've seen a couple of options.

1. Magpul MOE Scout mount;
2. IWC Thorntail on an add-on 1913 rail;
3. Midwest Industries MCTAR;
4. keep on using the Magpul 1913 rail at 11 o'clock.

Advice/guidance/counseling? Which of these seems best, and are there other options I'm overlooking?

best,

MA

A great option for 12 o'clock mounting: http://battlecomp.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13&products_id=41

How had I forgotten the Mossie? (Tries to kick own ass.)

My preference would be to mount it on/using the fsp, as that seems like the furthest forward, and closest to the bore, of the options out there, and my impression is that those are both good things. (If I'm wrong, someone please whack me upside the head with some knowledge.)

After further review, it sounds like the Mossie Tactics Midnight Mount is EXACTLY the solution I am looking for, and now I know why IraqGunz gets grumpy and says, "read more and post less!"
