View Full Version : base/rings
What base/rings do you guys suggest for a Savage MkII BV with a mueller apv scope?
Thanks!
There are a lot of good ones out there. I really like the one piece mount I just installed on my Marlin. Take a look at DNZ (DeadNutsZ).

I prefer the steel one piece bases like Redfield and Leupolds.
Those are on all my bolt guns and they hold the scope real well and never lose zero.
Stay away from alloy mounts...they are mostly garbage.

Doesn't it come with Weaver bases installed? If so, Leupold PRWs are what I would use.

It might have bases installed, I have to double check. Thanks for the info!
Seekins or Ferrel rings and bases. they both make great products. I have the Ferrels on my .308 and am very pleased with the machining, finish and strength. I also would go with steel its just a more durable metal that can take a possible headache out of the equation.

Sorry to bump the thread...but the rings I have do not work. Even took it to the gunshop....the leupold prw I have don't fit..what is with the flat sides?
Here is a reference pic to the style of bases:
