Got a Waffen Werks 74 for $300 worth of USGI mags..... shoots good, slowly just kinda putting money into it. Well, front sight is canted.... pretty bad. No issues, wanting to chop the barrel down and re-thread to 1/2x28 any ways.

Who do you recommend to send this off to have that done? I'm not AK savvy enough to completely take this thing apart to do it myself like I can with an AR let alone put everything back together.

Wanting to cut barrel to 14.5in, thread to 1/2x28, if possible have the front sight re-pinned on CORRECTLY this time and put a BC1.5 on.

Troy Sellars at In Range has an excellent reputation for this sort of thing.

Of course sending it to Waffen Werks might be the best bet.

I agree. I went to a VSM class down there taught by Joe and seen some of the work. Good stuff. He even tried talking me into modding my 74'.

This would be my first call if I couldn't get my brother to fix it.:)

Another recommendation for Troy @ In Range. They have a very good reputation for this type of work.

And yet another recommendation for Troy@InRange. He built a Russian AK74 for me several years ago. Sadly, I no longer have that weapon as I gave it to a good friend. He did a great job on the built and it was one of my favorite rifles for a couple of years.

Recently, I've been considering a new AK build. This time in 5.56.
