View Full Version : Colt HBar question
I inherited my dads Colt HBar and I have what may sound like a rookie question. The lower says Colt Match Target Competition HBar and caliber .223 however the upper says its a 5.56 NATO 1/9 HBar on the barrel. Would it be safe to shoot 5.56 since the upper is stating 5.56?
Thanks
Sean
I am no expert but my understanding is that match colt rifles were chamberd in 223..unless other wise. I sure some colt experts will clear up your questions.
Same here. Thought they were/are .223 but when I took it out for a cleaning and lube tonight I saw the marking on the barrel that made me go huh?!?
Guys, think about this. Where does the round go BANG?! In the barrel or in the lower?
Thanks 3AE and Kokopelli.
